I think what you mention is across the Board and is related to the affect the technology (computers, cell phones, internet, cable TV) has on us. We are an instant gratification short attention span society now - to an extreme. We will not be able to change this and we simply must adopt somehow. The environment keeps changing and we must as well - else fade away. This will mean using emerging technologies (such as we are doing, here) such as Facebook, Twitter, websites, etc. I am exploring with people now and do not yet have all the answers, but I am beginning to formulate the questions. At 9:44am on November 2, 2009, Gene van den Bosch said…: Yes, Eileen, most men would probably feel uncomfortable joining a group with your name.:-) we have a similar issue with the nonprofit I represent: Maricopa Association for Combat Veterans - open to ALL veterans of the armed forces and the Coast Guard - and to those non-veterans who wish to join in support of veterans and their families. Now we - too - must change our name.

The military equivalent of the Ronald McDonald House for military families. If you know of anyone serving, please post their picture on www.freedomladies.ning.com we are a new organization and intend to make a differnece in the lives of these service men/woman and their families.
